The Valentine Pummelo is a relatively new citrus release from the University of California Riverside. It received its nickname because it ripens around Valentine’s Day, and when cut lengthwise, can resemble a red heart. The fruit is extremely sweet and juicy and rich in antioxidants. It has a vibrant red flesh with seeds and is round with a pronounced neck. The yellow skin is easy to peel when the fruit has matured. It grows well in a variety of locations and has evergreen foliage.
